This webinar will explore strategies for structuring alternative Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences. Four speakers will discuss best practices for designing APPEs that develop critical thinking, pharmacotherapy knowledge, and research skills. Participants will gain practical insights and real-world applications to optimize the student APPE experience and contribute to the advancement of pharmacy education and scholarship.
Objectives:
- Discuss strategies to tailor an APPE rotation to the future career goals of the student.
- Describe how to design a non-patient care APPE that focuses on developing problem solving processes and critical thinking.
- Evaluate opportunities to integrate APPE students into mutually beneficial scholastic endeavors.
